The next Keep A Breast event and auction is just around the corner June 2-9, 2006 in Biarritz, France. The organization will try to top last year's donation of $32000 to breast cancer research and prevention programs. I'll be onsite to support the cause.
We finally have some sun in Munich! And we have the Soccer World Cup - People keep saying that Germany will be the next World Champion, maybe if Brazil stumbles... And on a final note I have taken up a "regular" job in Media Development. No worries to my active clients - I'll keep your sites running smooth, but no more new ones... so I'll change this site to a portfolio of digital and traditional artworks of mine. Slowly...

Making my move to Munich, just in time to wave the last snowflakes goodbye! I am eager to let new impressions of urban life in Germany take form, kicking things off are new ideas for my site, curating the Keep A Breast exhibit that will happen in Biarritz this July and keeping their site outdate.

I have been working with Training by Ignition on some online tutorials - setting up a cable box has never been easier after this tut. Sorry can't show you samples, product hasn't launched yet. Also been busy with Ego Id, who provides a great package for retail promotions, licensed merchandise, membership passes, prize raffles and more. And I've been skiing, the girl has to have some fun.

Just finished the redesign of the Ego Id, Inc. web site. Their in-house designer Lee provided me with his design an I turned it into a site template. Check out the result.

Well all the hard work with Keep A Breast has paid off! We had a great online auction and there were some nice parties in New York and Los Angeles where you could admire the breast casts live. If you missed it don't worry we are already starting to prepare for next year's exhibits in Europe and the US...

New Village Arts, Carlsbad's professional and award winning theatre has been one of my favorite clients. They have asked me to create an image for their upcoming Shakespeare in the Park. It's free, so if you are in San Diego this weekend grab your blankets and head up to Carlsbad for a (I am sure of it) stunning performance.

A lot has happened over the past months. I have been busy redesigning the web site for Keep A Breast, we launched it early May. At the end of May KAB was at the Roxy Jam UK and raised US $32,000 for The Lavender Trust. There is lots more developing for KAB this year... NY, LA, SD to mention just a few places you can find the art shows/fund raisers.
Some other projects I've been working on are the redesign of the Basiltops web site - will be launched shortly; New Village Arts design for the Waverly Gallery, this design also got honorable mention in the 2005 MiraCosta College Student Show and might be seen at the 2005 San Diego County Fair Competitive Art Exhibit; And some collateral material for the Carlsbad Home Tour happening in October 2005.
I've also been busy painting, pleased to say that I got a first prize at the MCC Art Show "Finale", and showed some work in various student shows in Oceanside.
By fare the biggest news is that I moved from sunny San Diego, CA to foggy London, UK. After 13 years I though it was time to get back to Europe and see how the graphic/web design world will treat me here. So if you are in the UK or in any other part in Europe and need some sweet design give me a shout (anna at 1020d) . I am still available to all my SoCal customers, after all I work from my global web office.

Keep A Breast is teaming up with Roxy again! I'll be at the event in Hawaii later this month - Come back soon to see the new KAB site and the gallery.

What a month... I have been busy working with NVA on their mailer for the upcoming play "A Lie Of The Mind" by Sam Shepard.
On Oct 9 I was in Phoenix working with the Keep A Breast team on another successful event. I am also in the process of updating the event gallery.

I have just added a few images to my print gallery, I'll be adding new images on a regular basis. All the prints are from etched zinc plates, hand inked and printed (rolled through a printing press by yours truly), signed and numbered. So don't just look at them - OWN them. Hint, hint.

The Castles of Carlsbad Royal Home Tour 2004 is on track! The Carlsbad Library Foundation has requested 1020d to update their printed promotional materials and web site for the big event -- Happening October 23, 2004!

Anglet, France - Keep A Breast
Keep A Breast is one of the events organized by Modart. I have been working with Modart since 1998 in one form or another, but have been maintaining their web site since 2002. This past May Keep A Breast joined Roxy at an event in Anglet, France to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. I was able to get a few good pictures of the art and the event .
